Q- Who Can Participate?

Ticket purchasers must be 18 years or older to enter the Thunder Bay Museum Classic Car Raffle. Ticket purchasers must be located in Ontario at the time of purchase. 

The following persons are prohibited from purchasing tickets in the Thunder Bay Museum Classic Car Raffle: 

  • Thunder Bay Museum staff 
  • The Thunder Bay Historical Museum Society Board of Directors
  • Employees of registered gaming suppliers
  • And members of the same household of each of the above

Q- How Can I Purchase My Tickets?

Tickets can be purchased online www.tbmuseumraffle.bump5050.com. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Thunder Bay Museum located at 425 Donald St. E, at our Front Desk/ Gift Shop. We will also be selling tickets at our live, in-person events at locations around Thunder Bay. Follow the Thunder Bay Museum on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for upcoming events. All tickets are electronic, there are no hard copy tickets available.  There is a limit of 9,000 tickets that will be sold. 

 

Q- Are Paper Tickets Available like in Previous Years?

There are no paper tickets available, all sales are online this year with electronic tickets delivered via email.

 

Q- How Much Do Tickets Cost?

1 for $15.00

3 for $40.00

8 for $100.00

28 for $300.00

 

Q- Is there a Limit to the Number of Tickets I can Purchase?

There is no limit to the number of tickets that an individual can purchase.

 

Q- How Will I Receive my Tickets?

They will be sent to the email you provided. If you do not see them in your inbox check your junk mail folder. If there are any issue accessing your tickets through your email, contact our Raffle Coordinator for assistance at raffle@thunderbaymuseum.com

 

Q- When are Tickets Sold?

Tickets will be sold from 4 May 2022 until 2 September 2022 at 12:00pm, while quantities last.  

 

Q- Why Do I need to be in Ontario to Purchase Tickets?

You do not need to reside in Ontario, you must be located in Ontario when the ticket is purchased. This is required under our lottery licence with the AGCO.  The website will use electronic location verification through your device to ensure eligibility in compliance with AGCO regulations.

 

Q- What if I Receive One of the Following Prompts? 

  • "You must allow your browser to share your location to purchase tickets. Please enable location services for this browser and try again."
  • "Location information is unavailable. To purchase tickets your location must be able to be determined. Please enable location services for this browser and try again."
  • "The request to get user location timed out. To purchase tickets your location must be able to be determined. Please enable location services for this browser and try again."
  • "An unknown error occurred while attempting to determine your location... To purchase tickets your location must be able to be determined. Please enable location services for this browser and try again."

These prompts are related to your Location setting. You may have told your browser to never share your location. You have to change that setting before continuing with your ticket order. See Enable Device Location Services Section below.

 

Q- What if I Already Denied the Location Prompt?

Reloading the page should cause you to be prompted to share your location again. If you have specified that you never want to share your location, you will need to go into your settings to allow. See Enable Device Location Services Section below.

 

Q- Enable Device Location Services

Select from the devices below, to enable your access to the E-Commerce site - iOS Mobile Device, MacOS Desktop, Windows, Android Smartphone. Instructions for each are provided below.  

 

iOS Mobile devices

  • Go to the Settings App.
  • Go to ‘Privacy’.
  • Go into ‘Location Services’.
  • Ensure ‘Location Services’ are on.
  • Scroll down and click ‘Safari Websites’.
  • Make sure that Allow Location Access is set to "While Using the App."
  • Chrome has the same setting if you are using that instead.

 

MacOS Desktop

  • Check if Location Services is turned on
  • Open ‘System Preferences’
  • Select ‘Security & Privacy’
  • Select ‘Privacy’ tab
  • Ensure ‘Location Services’ is checked
  • If it is not checked click the lock icon in bottom right corner of that window to make changes
  • Enter in your Username and password
  • Check The ‘Enable Location Services’ checkbox
  • If it is checked look at the list of allowed applications and make sure the web browser, you are using is also checked. Note that Chrome will not show up here, but Safari and Firefox will
  • If Locations is on, you may have previously blocked the www.tbmuseumraffle.bump5050.com site from using locations. To Unblock it:

Q- What Types of Payment Methods are Accepted?

The website can accept VISA or Mastercard.

 

Q- When will the Winning Ticket be Selected

The winning ticket will be selected September 2nd, 2:00pm

 

Q- How is the Winning Ticket Selected?

A single ticket will be selected by a Random Number Generation (RNG) program, from all raffle ticket numbers sold during the duration of the raffle. The draw will be electronically conducted from the offices of the Thunder Bay Museum.

 

Q- Where Can I Find the Winning Number and What Happens if I Win?

The winning ticket number will be posted to https://tbmuseumraffle.bump5050.com/ on the draw date of 2 September 2022. The winner will also be notified by phone.

 

Q- How Much Time Does the Winner Have to Claim the Prize?

The winner will have 6 Months to claim the prize. The winner is expected to take physical possession of the vehicle as soon as feasible and complete all registration and transfer paperwork with Service Ontario in coordination with Thunder Bay Museum staff.

 

Q- What do the Proceeds Support?

The proceeds from the Classic Car Raffle will go towards building renovation and maintenance costs for the designated heritage building that houses the Thunder Bay Museum. Learn more here: https://tbmuseumraffle.bump5050.com/proceeds

 

Q- Are the Tickets Tax Deductible?

No, unfortunately this is not allowed under AGCO rules.

 

Q- Can I get a Refund?

No refunds are available, all ticket sales are final.

 

Q- What are the Odds of Winning?

The odds of winning are dependent on total ticket sales out of 9,000 tickets available.

 

Q- I think I, or someone I know, may have a problem with gambling. What should I do?
